"SEX WORKERS"- Are the days of forced prostitution long gone?

Its proving very hard to establish reality from the perception of reality the media draws upon.
Two years ago channel 4 continually broad casted documentaries on the increase of prostitutes and their middle Eastern European pimp of a boyfriend on the London streets. They showed footage and convincing interviews of forced prostitution, rape and even called it "modern day slavery".
Last week, channel 4's documentary "Working as an Escort" depicted strong, independent and English speaking women on how much they enjoyed their chosen carrier.
Surely its not the same work description; Or is it possible that when a quick money making scheme is frowned upon they blame it on the foreigners, immigrants and non-English speakers but when a sexy spin is given to the "escort business" by the TV series "Secret Diary of a Call Girl" staring Billy Piper the credit goes to the English.

FASHION, Like Music and Art is Good for the SOUL.

I believe as people of the 21st century it is (in most parts of the world) our privilege to dress up as we like.

Having the opportunity to express ourselves through what we wear, liberating our souls by showing our strength and vulnerability to the world through the choices we make in fashion is empowerment in its purest art form.

The Golden Age of COUTURE

In 1947 Christian Dior launched his "New Look" and with it the most remarkable and glamorous decade in fashion history. This "golden age" celebrated the end of the war and the birth of a new era.

The Golden Age of Couture is a stunning exhibition featuring work by Parisian couturiers such as Christian Dior, Cristobal Balenciaga, Pierre Balmain and Hubert de Givenchy together with their London counterparts Norman Hartnell and Hardy Amies.

The exhibition looks at the secret world of couture, the structure of fashion's grand houses, the skills and craftsmanship of the ateliers and the lifestyle of its chic clientele.

Illustrated with fabulous period gowns and photographs, it shows the process and inspiration behind some of the most glamorous styles of all time.
